BRIDGEWATER, NJ -- The Ridge boys swim team beat a strong Hillsborough team, 92-78, while the Red Devil girls lost, 52-118, to Hillsborough on Tuesday.

Junior AJ Capizzi won the 200 meter IM and the 100 meter Fly, and sophomore Andy Moss won the 200-meter Free and 100 meter Backstroke. Senior Ethan Chiu won the 400 meter Free and placed second in the 200 Free while senior Chris Fabian had two close second-place finishes in the 50 and 100 meter Free events. Jerry Zheng Placed second in the 100 Backstroke and the boys 200-meter Medley relay team (Fabian, Colin Lee-Au, Capizzi, Chiu) and 400-meter Free relay team (Capizzi, Chiu, Moss, Marshall Wang) won their events.

For the girls, notable performances included freshman Emily Wang’s first-place finish in the 200-meter free and second place in the 100 Fly.  Senior Chelsea Lu took second place in the 200 meter IM and the 400 meter Free, while Tracy Lu was third in the 100-meter back and Maggie Hannis was third in the 100 meter breaststroke. Also, the girls 200-meter Free relay team (Wang, Sophie Paul, C. Lu, Lucy Hess) finished in second place as did the girls 400-meter Free relay team (Wang, Hess, Ayla D’Silva, T.Lu).
