MONTGOMERY, NJ -- The Ridge boys swim team finished fourth and the girls team came in sixth overall at the Somerset County Tournament championship on Saturday.

Senior Chris Fabian defended his individual county champion title in the 200 Free by winning with a time of 1:42.80.  Fabian also placed third in the 100 Fly with a time of 52.09.  Freshman Emily Wang continued her incredible season by finishing second in the 200 IM in a time 2:04.14 and second in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 57.41.  Both of Wang’s swims set new Ridge girls team records.  

The boys 400 Free relay team of Fabian, Ethan Chiu, Daniel Xia and AJ Capizzi finished third with new Ridge boys team record time of 3:16.09.

Additionally, junior Maggie Hannis finished fourth in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:09.21.  The girls 40 free relay team of Wang, Hannis, Sophie Paul and Tracy Lu place fourth with a time of 3:45.98. Senior Ethan Chiu also finished fifth in the 500 Free in a time of 4:54.63 and sixth in the 200 Free with a time of 1:49.30.  Junior AJ Capizzi placed fifth in the 200 IM and seventh in the 100 Free with a time of 49.58.
