BASKING RIDGE, NJ - The Ridge softball team scored a run in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a tie and went on to a 5-4 victory over Phillipsburg on Thursday.

Amanda Leitz and Allie Martine each had two hits and an RBI for the Red Devils (12-7), who scored a single run in five consecutive innings from the second through the sixth.

Alexis Soulias, Allegra Decandia and Emma Mertz each singled in a run for Ridge. Freshman Mia Robb was the winning pitcher in relief, throwing two hitless innings after Sophia Berger allowed four hits and no walks and struck out five in the first five innings pitched.
