BASKING RIDGE, NJ - The slate of soccer games that Ridge High School was scheduled to play has been postponed on Thursday due to the oppressive heat.
Ridge boys soccer was schedule to play at Hillsborough, and Ridge girls soccer was supposed to be home against Hillsborough in the evening. But because Hillsborough High School had an early dismissal on Thursday because of the heat, those games could not be played.
However, Ridge sports events against other teams Thursday remain on: Field hockey at home vs. Hunterdon Central (which may be shifted to a night game), girls tennis on the road against Montgomery, and girls volleyball (indoors) vs. Bridgewater-Raritan.
No makeup dates have been announced yet for the soccer games.
