BAYONNE, NJ - Thirty food vendors offering a variety of cuisines including Italian, Korean, Greek, Polish, Thai, Cuban, and American will be on hand for the City of Bayonne’s 2nd Annual Food Truck Festival.
Being held in honor of Bayonne’s 150th anniversary the special event will take place on Saturday, May 18, on Avenue E between 22nd and 24th Streets from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Drivers are asked to take caution as detours will be in place.
Saying that he looks forward to welcoming both residents and out-of-town visitors Mayor Jimmy Davis promised that the day will feature “the best food trucks in New Jersey.”
“The festival will welcome people to Avenue E to celebrate the spring and see how great Bayonne is,” Davis added.
Participating food vendors will include: Chavas; Mozzarepas; House of Cupcakes; Two Crepe; Angry Archies; Glazed and Confused; No Forks Given; Little Sicilian; Koro Koro; Carnival Concessions; Soda City; Jersey Johnny; Amanda Bananas; Taste of Poland; Cubano X-Press; Jimmy Dawns; Pizza Vita; Venti Italian Sandwiches; Hormans Pickles; John’s Catering; Kimchi Grill; Just Delicious Kettle Corn; Philly Fry; The Thai Elephant; Cold Stone Creamery; Athens Delite; Mac Truck; Just Like Mom; Philly Pretzel; and Incrediballs.
In addition to the food trucks, the event will include childrens’ rides, sand art, and a beer and wine garden for the adults. Well known musical groups The Nerds and The Suyat Band will also perform on stage at 23rd Street and Avenue E.
Admission to the festival is free. Members of the public will purchase their own choices of food, beverages, and children’s rides.
Parking lots will be available in several locations: Lots 6 and 7 – 23rd Street and Church Lane; Lots 8 and 9 – East 26th Street between Broadway and Avenue E; and the Barnabas Medical Center parking deck at 24th Street and DelMonte Drive. Public metered parking will also be available along the Broadway corridor
