Applications Open for Annual Scholarships Offered by Alliance of Private Special Education Schools

The Alliance of Private Special Education Schools of Northern New Jersey, a group of more than 30 state-approved private special education schools in northern and central New Jersey, has opened scholarship applications for graduating high school students with disabilities.

The scholarships are designed to empower, recognize and reward graduates with special needs. Students with a disability graduating from any public school in northern New Jersey may apply for the Connections for the Future Scholarship. Up to $1,000 in funds are provided to support opportunities after high school including continuing education and training, independence, and community integration.

“Each year, when the Scholarship Committee reviews these applications, we are inspired by their aspirations and ambition,” said Diane Somers, who leads the Alliance scholarship committee.  “I’m honored to be part of this important part of our work,” she added.
