BAYONNE, NJ – Assemblyman Nicholas Chiaravalloti (D-Hudson) will host a CarFit, an event to help ensure mature drivers’ safety behind the wheel, on Friday, July 22 at the South Cove Commons in Bayonne.

CarFit is a 15- to 20-minute personal assessment during which trained technicians assist in adjusting vehicle components for a better fit.

“As drivers mature, changes in their bodies can affect their ability to drive,” said Chiaravalloti, who represents Bayonne and part of Jersey City. “AAA, AARP and the American Occupational Therapy Association have developed a wonderful program to assure the safety and well-being of mature drivers.”
