BAYONNE, NJ - Bayonne High School will be home to the prestigious “Physics Bowl” for the next year.
The trophy was awarded to Bayonne Team two following their first place performance at the Physics Olympics competition hosted by the New Jersey chapter of American Association of Physics Teachers (NJAAPT) at Monmouth Regional High School on January 19th.
The winning students, led by coach, and physics teacher Komila Patel finished with the highest overall score across the six events at the competition. Included in the events was designing a newspaper bridge that could hold the maximum weight relative to its own weight before breaking and designing a light box of certain minimum dimensions that would help two Pringle ® chips survive in mail.
