Bayonne Man Arrested for Aggravated Assault at NJCU Graduation Ceremony

NEWARK, NJ - Ramy A. Zaki, 25, of Bayonne, was arrested Wednesday for an aggravated assault at the commencement ceremony of the New Jersey City University held at the Prudential Center today.
 
According to a statement from the Newark Department of Public Safety, at approximately 10 a.m., a 60-year old male victim was struck by Zaki following an incident inside the arena, where the victim is alleged to have pushed Zaki’s mother before he struck the victim in the head. 
 
Although EMS responded, the victim chose to remain at the graduation and to seek medical attention at a later time.
