CHATHAM, NJ - Bayonne Police Lt. Carlos Betacourth, presisent and founder of the Guardian Foundation, delivered five rifle-resistant vests to the Chatham Borough Police Department on Monday night at the Borough of Chatham Council meeting on Monday night.
The vests cost $500 apiece and were funded by residents and local businesses.

The Guardian Foundation is a non-profit 501 c(3) charitable organization founded by Bayonne Lt. Carlos Betancourth in 2016. It is committed to giving back to the community and supporting its local Heroes. Betancourth is actively involved with the community on many levels.
Betancourth is the president of the Guardian Foundation and Sheth, a resident of Chatham, is the vice president.
