Bayonne Recreation Department Seeking Summer Parks and Pool Staff

BAYONNE, NJ - Have you ever dreamed of spending the entire summer at the pool or in a local park?

Bayonne teenagers might have the opportunity to do just that this summer.

Beginning on April 2, the Bayonne Division of Recreation will be accepting applications for those interested in being summer camp counselors, pool attendants and lifeguards for the upcoming summer season.

If selected, pool attendants and lifeguards will work at the Thomas DiDomenico Municipal Pool at 16th Street Park. All lifeguards must be certified by summer. Camp counselors will work at the various summer camps throughout the city.

Applicants must live in Bayonne and have completed their freshman year of high school.

If interested, applications are available in City Hall Room 13, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., according to the city website.

Applications are due by May 4. 

According to the city website, all applications are reviewed after the deadline and employment is limited. This is not a first-come, first serve opportunity. For more information on summer employment, please contact Pete Amadeo at 201-858-6129 or email BAYONNEREC@AOL.COM.
