BAYONNE, NJ - Bayonne's youngest public school students will be a little bit safer when they go trick-or-treating later this month thanks to a donation by the Bayonne Chapter of Unico National, Superintendent of Schools John Niesz announced Tuesday.
"Thanks to the generous support of the Bayonne Chapter of Unico, our students will have bags with safety messages such as watch for cars, don't go out alone, andstay in well lighted areas. I'd like to thank the members of Unico for their continued dedication to youth programs throughout the city," Niesz said.
Saying that they are excited to help make Halloween an extra special and safe day for the children Committee Chair Dr. Gary Maita annouced that Unico will will supply Trick or Treat bags for elementary students to collect candy and surprises in Pre-K through second grade at all Bayonne Public Schools.
