BAYONNE, NJ - A 58-year-old Brooklyn man got violent Monday when he was asked by an officer to leave Shop Rite, according to Captain Eric Amato.
In a report Amato said that Noel Villot was observed “walking unsteadily on his feet down an aisle” when the officer approached him to check on his well-being. At this point Villot is said to have begun to screaming profanities at the officer as he took a “fighting stance.”
As he as being escorted out of the store, Amato said, Villot ripped a plexi-glass protective barrier from the checkout area and then resisted arrest by scratching at the wrists of the officer. The officer was able to safely take Villot to the ground and place him into custody.
