JERSEY CITY, NJ – CarePoint Health Bayonne Medical Center Chief Hospital Executive, Vijayant Singh, MD, MBA., has announced the appointment of Frederick Sabido, MD, FACS, as System Director for General Surgery Robotics Program.
According to a statement Sabido started in his new role in July bringing with him knowledge and experience in General Surgery Robotics, minimally invasive surgery, and in academic/Graduate Medical Education robotic fellowship training programs.
“We are pleased to welcome Dr. Sabido with his extensive background and experience to our surgery team at our three hospitals,” said Singh. “Dr. Sabido will help further advance our surgery program and we know his leadership and expertise will be a benefit to all the patients we serve.”
Licensed to practice medicine for 27 year, and a Board-Certified General Surgeon specializing in Robotic General Surgery and Surgical Oncology, Sabido has maintained a private practice based in Staten Island, NY, and Old Bridge, NJ for 20 years. A graduate of the prestigious seven-year Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, and NYU School of Medicine accelerated Bachelor of Science/Doctor of Medicine Program, Sabido was previously affiliated with the Mount Sinai Health Network.
Prior to joining CarePoint Health, Sabido served as the Division Chief and Fellowship Program Director in Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at Richmond University Medical Center and Director of the Center for Robotic Surgery at Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center and has received many accolades ranging from Master Surgeon in Robotic Surgery by the Surgical Review Certification to Teacher of the Year at Wagner College/Physician Assistant Program in 1999.
Dr. Sabido was recognized in the “Guide to America’s Top Surgeon’s: Consumers’ Research Council in America” in 2002, 2004, 2006-2007 & 2011.
