BAYONNE, NJ — CarePoint Health has shown its support for the city of Bayonne’s youth by contributing $2,500 to the Bayonne Police Athletic League (PAL) for educational and recreational programs.
The check donation was made by Christine Stryker, Chief Administrative Officer for Bayonne Medical Center, at PAL headquarters on Avenue A.
The money is earmarked for a number of services and items, including homework help for students, the possible acquisition of two laptop computers, and the purchase of extra supplies, such as pens, pencils, notebooks and erasers, according to KT Torello of the PAL.
A portion of the donation will also fund the purchase of additional board games and video games for the youngsters.
“It’s because of organizations and companies like CarePoint Health that the children in our programs continue to thrive,” Torello said. “Without these supporters, nonprofits such as ourselves wound not be able to continue to operate.”
