BAYONNE, NJ – CarePoint Health recently responded to the needs of Bayonne residents by opening an urgent care facility on Broadway.
CarePoint executives and Bayonne city officials attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for CarePoint Health Medical Group’s new Urgent Care Center at 654 Broadway. The center will provide treatment for medical emergencies that may not call for a visit to an emergency room, but should not wait for regular doctor visits.
City Council President Sharon Nadrowski and Councilmen Thomas Cotter, Salvatore Gullace, Gary La Pelusa and Juan Perez attended. Gullace, councilman for the Second Ward where the urgent care center is located, cut the ribbon for the new health care facility with CarePoint Health Chief Executive Officer Jeff Mandler.
“It’s a great day. We appreciate the investment CarePoint has made in our community,” Nadrowski said. “It’s a big plus for residents here.”
“This opening shows our commitment to the city of Bayonne,” Mandler said.
The CarePoint Health Medical Group Urgent Care Center is located at 654 Broadway, and accepts all major insurers. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Physicians, physician assistants, nurses and others will staff the facility.
CarePoint Health Executive Vice President System and Chief Operating Officer Peter Daniels, CarePoint Health-Bayonne Medical Center Chief Operating Officer Catherine Shull Fernald and CarePoint-BMC Chief Medical Officer Vijay Singh, MD, were among the other CarePoint leaders who attended the ribbon cutting.
CarePoint is Bayonne’s local health care provider, offering a full continuum of care to city residents. This comprehensive program often begins with the response of McCabe Ambulance, a CarePoint partner. It continues with care from the Bayonne Medical Center Emergency Department, diagnostic departments, and inpatient and outpatient services.
