BAYONNE, NJ – Bayonne residents are urged to avail themselves of the services provided when the city of Bayonne holds its annual health fair on Friday, July 8.

The event will take place from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. in Fitzpatrick Park, on Avenue C between 26th and 27th streets.

The health fair will offer Bayonne residents the opportunity to receive free screenings for blood lead, HIV, cholesterol and blood pressure. Health information and other services will also be available.

“Improving the health of the community is one of the best things that local government can do,” said Mayor James Davis. “The city of Bayonne is proud to bring together a variety of public agencies, non-profit organizations, and healthcare-related services in one location to serve the people of Bayonne.”

If it rains on July 8, the health fair will be held on Thursday, July 14, at the same time and location.

“I urge Bayonne residents to drop by the health fair and take advantage of this great opportunity,” Davis said.
