Late Night Brews Lead to Fight, Assault Charges

BAYONNE, NJ – An early morning drink led to assault charges for a local man.

Kevin Kiniery, 29, was charged with aggravated assault after police said he punched a 60 year old man while drinking at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, a press release said. 

According to police, Kiniery punched the victim with a “closed fist” then continued to “assault him” until the victim’s nephew broke up the fight.

The victim was treated for facial and eye injuries at Bayonne Medical Center.

Kiniery was issued a summons and released.
