BAYONNE, NJ – Many of the dozens of Marist High School students and their dates prepared for their prom the evening of Thursday, May 26 by attending the school’s Senior Toast-Off held in the Marist gymnasium.
Gabriel Aniel of Jersey City and ViViana Flores of Yonkers, N.Y., were among the first couples arriving at the event at the school.
“The kids have been looking forward to this since they were freshmen,” said Marist Chief Advancement Officer Tiffany McQueary. “It’s their coming of age as adults.”
The Marist Prom was held this year at The Greycliff in Moonachie. The theme was “Met Gala.”
Members of the Student Council planned the prom, with the help of Miriam Eisenmenger, head guidance counselor, according to Marist Communications Officer Matt Puracchio.
As the Toast-Off was ending, limousines were seen pulling up to the school to take students to the prom.
