Michael Romano Memorial Blood Drive Scheduled for Friday

BAYONNE, NJ – A blood drive will be held in memory of a former Midtown Community School student on Friday at St. Henry’s Church from 1-7 p.m.

Michael Romano would have turned 24 years old on Friday had he not developed neuroblastoma, a form pediatric cancer, when he was 4.

The baseball player and avid fisherman fought for seven years before succumbing to the disease when he was 11 years old, according to an event flyer.
