Organizations Provide Public Service on National HIV Testing Day

CarePoint Health was among the organizations providing free screenings and services for National HIV Testing Day. 

Registered nurses provided blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose screenings in the company’s mobile unit. They also dispensed information about proper nutrition and health practices for those with diabetes.

Other groups provided free HIV testing, conveyed the importance of its early detection, and raised awareness of HIV/AIDS in the community.

Residents attended from both Bayonne and the Greenville section of Jersey City, where the health fair was held.

Nancy Aleman of CarePoint said the event was one of the ways the health care company reaches out to the community.
