Searing Heat Leads to Extended Bayonne Pool Hours

BAYONNE, NJ – Due to expected temperatures into the high 90s, city pool hours will be extended into the evening on Friday, Aug. 12 and Saturday, Aug. 13, city officials said.

On both days, the DiDomenico Municipal Pool on West 16th Street, between Avenue A and Newark Bay, will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 8 p.m., weather permitting.

Normally the pool would close at 5 p.m. each day. But due to the extreme heat expected, the city administration decided to extend the hours for two days.
