BAYONNE, NJ – A group of history students are representing Bayonne High School this week at the finals of National History Day at the University of Maryland, College Park.  

Freshman Tashu Gupta is presenting her individual exhibit, The Cuban Missile Crisis: A Conflict and Compromise, while a group of Bayonne High School seniors will be presenting their group website, Nuclear Freeze: Citizen Peace Activism of the 1980s.  

History teachers Evan Wexler and Martin Kashmer are supervising the students at the conference. This is Wexler’s second trip, while Kashmer has been to three straight events.
