BAYONNE, NJ- Two arrests in recent days have led to three guns and a “substantial quantity of narcotics” being removed from Bayonne’s streets.
On Tuesday Bayonne Police Lt. Eric Amato announced the November 9 arrest of Joshua I. Arroyo, 31, after he allegedly fired a single shot at approximately 11:05 p.m. the previous day in the area of West 19th Street. Arroyo was charged with unlawfully possessing two assault rifles, as well as a 30-round capacity magazine.
A subsequent statement by Amato, issued on Wednesday, announced the arrest of Bayonne resident Terrel B. Williams, 29, leading to charges related to his alleged possession of a handgun and narcotics, including marijuana and ecstasy, which were intend for sale.
Law enforcement officials continue to investigate both matters.
