BAYONNE, NJ - Counselors will be available to help students who may feel grief over the recent death of a 7th grade student at Philip G. Vroom Community School, said school superintendent John Niesz. According to reports the female student died after a two-year battle with cancer.

Saying the death was “not unexpected,” Niesz referred to the loss as “a very sad situation” and said that counselors would be made available virtually as the school district continues to adhere to strict social distancing policies in efforts to combat COVID-19.
