Dear Editor:

Recently I approached the head of C-Town to express my appreciation for their ongoing efforts to “be there” for customers throughout the ongoing Coronavirus. Much to my surprise and dismay, he showed me a letter of complaint received from someone who accused the store of price-gouging.

I am a long-time and frequent C-Town customer. During this difficult time, I have not seen one shred of evidence of price-gouging. What I have noticed is that prices have remained the same, weekly sales have continued, the shelves have been stocked (in my opinion) better than the larger supermarket chains, employees have maintained their welcoming, friendly manner, and they apologize if/when certain items aren’t available due to circumstances beyond their control.

Many individuals find time to complain, but too few take time to acknowledge a job well-done.

Thank you, C-Town, from a most appreciative customer.
