BAYONNE, NJ - Thousands of Bayonne residents gathered along Broadway on Sunday to celebrate the 38th annual St. Patrick's Day parade.

Led by Bridget Antczak, the parade's grand marshal, many credited the good weather, as well as the widely held belief that the holiday commerating Ireland's patron saint is one to be enjoyed by everyone, for the large turnout.

“Everyone claims Irishness on St. Patrick’s Day,” Antczak said at a March 1 event to kick off the festivities.
