BAYONNE, NJ - Following the most recent order of Governor Phil Murphy in the state's fight against the further spread of COVID-10, coronavirus, barber shops, hair salons, nail salons, spas, tattoo parlors, and eyelash/threading salons will be closed effective 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

Parking meters, pay stations, and residential zone regulations are suspended as of 8:00 p.m. Thursday, a statement from Mayor Jimmy Davis' office said.

On March 12 Davis became one of the first mayors in New Jersey to declare a state of emergency locally to prepare for the potential spread of COVID-19, coronavirus. To date one Bayonne resident has tested positive for the virus.
