BAYONNE, NJ - Thanks to a vote of approval by the Bayonne City Council, local businesses throughout the City will be allowed to sell their wares on sidewalks in front of their establishments until September 5.

The practice, which is being expanded to help merchants closed by COVID-19 to recover, had previously been restricted to the Broadway business corridor.

"These sales will boost business for local merchants and provide additional choices for Bayonne shoppers," Mayor Jimmy Davis said. "I encourage Bayonne consumers to support local businesses by patronizing the sidewalk sales, and by ordering take-out food and eating outdoors at local restaurants."
