BAYONNE, NJ - With the impact of the COVID-19, coronavirus, growing across the region, TAPinto Bayonne has announced a number of ways it intends to support the community, including elected officials and schools, local organizations, small business, and, most importantly, families.
“First and foremost we will bring updates to our readers in a responsible way,” TAPinto Bayonne publisher Steve Lenox said. “Now is not a time to engage in a race for clicks, but rather to keep the community fully informed in an honest way.”
TAPinto Bayonne has also urged local organizations to inform them of any events they have had to postpone as part of the precautionary measures being taken. In addition to making the public aware of immediate changes, in the coming weeks TAPinto Bayonne will work with local organizations to promote the new dates of postponed events.
Finally, while recognizing the established practices of social distancing, TAPinto Bayonne is also concerned about the impact to the small businesses in the community we serve. “Small businesses are the lifeblood of Bayonne, and we want to do what we can to limit their distress during what is likely to be a difficult few weeks.”
