BAYONNE, NJ - There should be plenty of fun in the sun, and water, in Bayonne this Labor Day weekend thanks to the re-opening of the DiDomenico-16th Street Pool.
According to a statement, all major repairs have been completed and the pool will be open for resident's enjoyment all three days from 10:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Weather permitting the pool will remain open through September, Monday through Friday from 3:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and on weekends from 10:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The pool will open on hour early on Tuesday and Thursdays for senior citizens only.
Daily admission fees for the pool are jut $1 for children 12 years old and under; $3 for anyone 13 to 64 years old; $1 for senior citizens 65 and over. Residents who can not produce a City of Bayonne ID, or current Bayonne school ID will be charged $5 to enter. No out of town guests are permitted.
City of Bayonne Resident IDs can be obtained at the Council Chambers in City Hall, Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The fee for an ID is $5. Two proofs of residency are required.
Information about pool closings due to be inclement whether can be found by calling the Recreation hotline at 201-471-7590, by visiting the Recreation Division website at www.bayonnerec.com, or by visiting the City of Bayonne’s Facebook page.
For safety reasons, no flotation devices are allowed. The City does not allow pool patrons to wear swimmies, tubes, puddle jumpers, or similar items.
