BAYONNE, NJ- The City of Bayonne will hold its annual Halloween Parade and costume contest along Broadway on Wednesday.

Set to kickoff at 5:45pm on the corner of 25th Street and Broadway the parade will head downtown for three blocks before heading back to its start. A costume contest for children 13 and under will follow the parade with prizes being awarded to the top five best costumes.

“We’ve been working hard to make sure Broadway is as vibrant as it once was, meaning that our storefronts are full and our small businesses are thriving,” Mayor Jimmy Davis told TAPinto Bayonne. “There are few better ways to do that than to celebrate the incredible energy and enthusiasm of our children.”

This year's parade, according to statement from Davis’ office,  will also incorporate a Bayonne Police Department Community Oriented Policing Initiative sponsored by Bayonne PBA Local #7 and the Bayonne Police Superior Officers' Association which will include the distribution of candy by the Bayonne Police Explorers.
