BAYONNE, NJ - Residents living in the Red, Green, and Yellow Zones as designated and enforced by the Bayonne Parking Utility are being reminded that current parking permits will expire on December 31.
There will be a one-month grace period before enforcement of the new permits starts on February 3.
Similar to other parts of the community, in these zones parking sticker permits will be replaced with “virtual” permits registered to license plates. This change has already taken effect in other parts of the community.
According to local officials the new electronic permits provide several advantages over the former stickers, including the ability to request and manage them online, cutting down on the need to wait in lines. Enforcement will also be done through license plate enforcement as opposed to reading permit stickers.
New permits can be applied and paid for by clicking here and selecting Parking Utility. Residents can still apply for permits in person by visiting Room 13 in Bayonne City Hall.
Visitor permits for up to 15 business days can also be applied for online, up to four times per year or a maximum of 60 days per year.
