BAYONNE, NJ - A two-story warehouse on Prospect Avenue will, with the support of a 20-year tax abatement, be replaced by a five-story apartment building under a proposal passed last week by the Bayonne City Council.
The building, already under construction, is near the Hudson Bergen Light Rail station and set to have 44 residential units: eight studios, eight one-bedroom units, 12 one-bedroom units with dens, 12 two-bedroom units, and four three-bedroom units.
Included in the plans for the 82-foot high building are 46 parking spots, a 1,594 square foot club room and 725 square foot rooftop gym.
The developer, TFG 171-121 Prospect Urban Renewal LLC, Council President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski said, will also contribute $250,000 towards the construction of the city’s pedestrian walkway.
