BAYONNE, NJ - When it comes to Bayonne’s future Friday’s official opening of the six-story, 90 unit building at 250 Avenue E may indeed have proved that the “Skye” is the limit.
The namesake of developer Mitch Burakovsky’s eight-year-old daughter, the luxury units within the uniquely designed exterior boast 10-foot ceilings, hardwood plank flooring, custom kitchens, top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances, and much more.
Young Skye was on hand to cut the ribbon on the new building that sits directly behind the 22nd Street Lightrail station and soon, across the street from where her father’s team will break ground on a similar project in the coming weeks.
Saying the project took more than four years to complete, Burakovsky told TAPinto Bayonne that it wouldn’t have taken shape without the constant support of Mayor Jimmy Davis and the Bayonne City Council, all of whom were on hand to celebrate the occasion.
“They are moving Bayonne in the right direction,” the long-time Bayonne fixture said.
Giving a glimpse into why the Peninsula City, and particularly the blocks surrounding the area where Skye Lofts South has emerged as a much sought after destination for investors and builders, Burakovsky added that it is quieter and less dense than Jersey City, yet still provides a walkable downtown with shops, dining, nightlife, and other services.
“Skye Lofts South takes full advantage of this location with a modern lifestyle offering at attractive prices that we believe will resonate with today’s renter.”
Following ribbon cutting photo op guests made their way throughout the building where they marveled at a number of recreational and social amenities including a lobby lounge and residents-only lounge, fitness center, bike storage and private storage, and enclosed parking area.
“Each project we have cut the ribbon on seems to raise the bar on the last,” Davis offered after coming out of one of the model units that also contains a private balcony. “That’s a trend we plan on continuing, staying on course for a Bayonne that is better than ever.”
