BAYONNE, NJ - Bayonne’s public schools will remain closed to students until at least April 20, 2020, according to a letter by Superintendent John Niesz. “The COVID-19 pandemic will impact when we anticipate opening our schools and resume normal operations,” he stated.

Students, teachers, and administrators will continue to work together through their virtual learning platform while schools remain unopened. Virtual instruction will be shut during the regularly scheduled spring break, April 10-17, as well as for four additional days March 27, April 3, April 9, and April, in lieu of snow days that weren’t used.

“Please keep our health professionals, Health Department, Office of Emergency Management, first responders, school faculty, staff, administration, Board of Education, Mayor, and elected officials in your thoughts as they work on the front lines of this pandemic,” Niesz requested.
