JERSEY CITY, NJ - A Jersey City man was arrested Wednesday in connection with two separate incidents of sexual assault that occured on Monday, one of them against a Bayonne woman.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, Darell McRae, 30, faces more than 10 charges including Attempted Murder, Aggravated Sexual Assault, and Terroristic Threats in connection with the alleged incidents.
The first attack, against a 25-year-old Bayonne woman, is said to have occurred shortly after 1:00 a.m. in the area of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Stevens Avenue in Jersey City on Monday.
In a second incident that occurred shortly after 2:40 a.m. the same day, Jersey City Police Officers responded to a report of sexual assault in the area of West Side Avenue and Union Street in Jersey City.
Detectives, the report said, arrested McRae at the Hudson County Correctional Facility where he was being held on separate criminal charges from the Jersey City Police Department. He will be held at the HCCF pending his first appearance.
