BAYONNE, NJ - A 35-year-old Jersey City woman faces an additional charge of lewdness after stripping naked in the holding cell she had been placed in at Bayonne Police Headquarters on Thursday.

According to Lt. Eric Amato the incident began at approximately 11:39 a.m. when police officers were called to Fitzpatrick Park on a report of shoplifting. Once on the scene officers were informed by an employee that the suspect, later identified as Ottanee D. Turner, removed two $30 scratch off lottery tickets from the dispenser and place them in her pocket.

While attempting to flee Turner is said to have dropped one of the tickets.

The employee then observed Turner on a bench in the park and notified police.

Upon arrival officers conducted an investigation during which Turner gave a false name, leading to a charge of apprehending arrest. Officers then located the lottery ticket on the ground near Turner.

Once at Police Headquarters Turner is said to have become “uncooperative and irate,” including the undressing and parading around the cell before dressing again.
