BAYONNE, NJ - Longtime Bayonne Attorney Peter J. Cresci was permanently disbarred from practicing law in the State of New Jersey on Thursday, according to a decision rendered by the New Jersey Supreme Court on March 21.  The decision was handed down by the court following a variety of allegations against him surrounding his management of a client's trust accounts.

A trust account is typically maintained by attorneys when they are holding money on behalf of a client or third party.

According to a copy of the decision reviewed by TAPinto Bayonne, Cresci did not “show cause” as to why he should not be disbarred.

Cresci did not respond to a request for comment by press time.
