BAYONNE, NJ - A 20-year-old Bayonne man was arrested in the early hours of Thursday after allegedly entering at least one parked vehicle and stealing contents, including $74.82 in loose coins, cell phone charging cables, and cigarette lighters.

According to Lt. Eric Amato, officers responded to the area of 8th Avenue and Avenue A just after 4:00 a.m. on a report of a male attempting to enter the vehicles.

The suspect, later identified as Jason J. Megaro, was located in the area of North Street and Avenue A, and, after being positively identified by a witness, placed under arrest.

Magaro was charged with breaking into one car and attempting to break in to nine others, as well as with possession of and intent to distribute marijuana.
