BAYONNE, NJ - A 52-year-old Bayonne man is due in court Wednesday to face sexual assault charges as a result of his alleged contact with two pre-teens while at the Bayonne Community Pool on Friday.
According to Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez, the girls were among several that were at the pool with their day camp and reported that the suspect was “harassing” them and “making them uncomfortable.”
Members of the Bayonne Police Department arrived on the scent at approximately 1:00 p.m. and were told by the two victims that the suspect, identified as Ronald McCall, “pressed against them while standing in the line at the concession stand.”
Following his arrest at the Prosecutor’s Office McCall is said to have become “irate” and threatened detectives while they attempted to assist him when he requested medical attention, leading to a further charge of Terroristic Threats.
Following a stint at Jersey City Medical Center to receive treatment McCall was transported to the Hudson County Correctional Facility in Kearny where he is expected to remain until his July 31 court appearance.
