BAYONNE, NJ - A Bayonne man was arrested Friday after a traffic stop by Bayonne police found him to be in possession of a fully loaded 9mm handgun.

According to Lt. Eric Amato, a police officer was in the area of 29th Street and Kennedy Boulevard when he noticed a gray Honda traveling south at a high rate of speed.

The officer, with the assistance of other units, pulled the vehicle over at 13th Street and Kennedy Boulevard, and upon approaching the driver, identified as Jordan A. Daly, detected a strong odor of raw marijuana emanating from inside of the vehicle.

Daly was ordered out of his vehicle and a subsequent search recovered the handgun, marijuana, a quantity of Oxycodone pills, and $695 in cash.
