BAYONNE, NJ - Two women were treated for injuries they received early Friday when they were involved in an altercation with a third woman in the early morning hours.

According Lt. Eric Amato, the victims, 37 and 33 years old, said that they were walking south on Broadway when they were approached by the suspect, identified as Yvonne Bell, 40, whom one of the victims was familiar with.

The suspect, said to be homeless, “began to scream at the victims and initiated a physical altercation with” the 37-year-old near the intersection of 21st Street and Broadway. When the second woman tried to intervene, the report stated, Bell “removed a sharp object from her purse and began slicing and stabbing both victims repeatedly about their arms, faces, and shoulders.”
