ELIZABETH, NJ - Elizabeth police and other first responders were called to an accident involving a Lime Scooter at approximately 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. According to the Breaking News Network (BNN), and a source at the scene, the accident is a fatality. 

According to sources at the scene, a 16-year-old male was riding on a Lime scooter and rode into a large tow truck in the area of Elizabeth Ave. and South Spring Street. Sources also reported that upon arrival first responders immediately started CPR and the victim was quickly rushed away by ambulance to Trinitas Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The use of motorized scooters has become a growing concern in city's such as Hoboken where local news outlet HMag has reported on numerous accidents involving their users, including one on Wednesday when a scooter collided with a car.
