BAYONNE, NJ - A 13-year-old Bayonne boy was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly took part in the attempted robbery of a 29-year-old woman.

According to Lt. Eric Amato members of the Bayonne Police Department were informed of the incident by the woman after she reported that while removing items from the back seat of her car in the area of 15th Street and Broadway she was approached by the boy and two other male suspects.

The suspects, recording the incident on a cell phone, she said, surrounded her and demanded that she give them her personal belongings. After refusing and beginning to cross the street the suspects again surrounded her, one of them punching her in the face and removing her cell phone from her pocket. The victim was able to grab the phone back and all three fled the scene.
