BAYONNE, NJ - A Bayonne man wanted in connection with the theft of a transport van owned by Bayonne Adult Medical Daycare Center was arrested on Friday.

According to Lt. Eric Amato, Derek Booker, 37, was taken into custody at 10:13 a.m. from the area of East 14th Street.

The report states that after being identified from several area surveillance cameras Booker was named as the suspect in the November 5 heist. On that day the driver of the van is said to have left the van parked outside the daycare with the ignition running and the door unlocked. When he returned the can was gone.

Booker was also found to be in possession of marijuana, bringing an additional charge.
