BAYONNE, NJ - A Bayonne man led local police on a high speed pursuit into Jersey City early Tuesday before being arrested and charged with a number of drugs related offenses.
According to Captain Eric Amato, the incident began just after 12:30 a.m. when Bayonne police attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop of the suspect, Zachary H. Nemiri, 22, in the area of 47th Street and JFK Blvd.
The report states that Nemiri failed to comply until he stopped his vehicle in the area of Seaview Avenue and JFK Blvd. where he was taken into custody. A search led to the recovery of marijuana, THC candies, and narcotic paraphernalia. It was also learned that Nemiri was wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants issued out of the Harrison Municipal Court.
Nemiri was transferred to Hudson County Jail.
