BAYONNE, NJ - Bayonne police arrested two men Tuesday after finding a handgun and five bullets in the car they were driving in.
According to Capt. Eric Amato, the incident began at approximately 7:00 p.m. when officers stopped the suspects, identified as Sean E. Hill, Jr. 32, Jersey City, and Hector N. Polidura, 36, Bayonne, in the area of Linden Street.
During the stop, Amato said, officers detected a “strong odor of raw marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle” prompting a further search. Hill was said to be in possession of marijuana and the bullets while the gun, a Smith and Wesson .38 revolver, was found inside the car.
Both men were charged with various crimes and transported to Hudson County Jail.
