BAYONNE, NJ - Local and police officials gathered in Bayonne’s City Council Chambers on Wednesday to celebrate the promotion of seven patrolman to the rank of sergeant.

With their colleagues, families, and other supporters looking on Joseph Styles, Anthony Pelliccio, Mark Fabbricatore, Matthew Lindquist, Carmen Cutro, Chester Konopka, and Steven Rhodes all beamed with pride as they took their oath for the new supervisory positions they will hold.

Public Safety Director Robert Kubert thanked all the officers for their hard work and dedication to the residents of Bayonne as he conducted the ceremony that was attended by both Mayor Jimmy Davis and Council-President Sharon Ashe-Nadrowski.

Both Davis and Ashe-Nadrowski extended their thanks to law enforcement professionals, as well as their families that “have shared in their sacrifice,” while challenging the new sergeants to always serve the city with pride and distinction.

During the closing benediction, Police Chaplain Father John “Padre” Fencik asked for a moment of silence to honor the recent passing of retired BPD Sergeant Kenny Kaczka.
