BAYONNE, NJ - Nine members of the Bayonne Police Department are set to pedal their way from the Freedom Tower in New York City to Washington, DC.

The more than 300 mile ride, known as the Police Unity Tour, launched in 1997 and has taken place each year since to memorialize law enforcement officers that have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Thanking his officers for training for and participating in this important event Bayonne Police Chief Rob Geisler said that he is proud of the Bayonne Unity Tour contingent.

“The hard work and dedication of those involved in the Unity Tour ensures that the spirit & memories of our fallen brothers & sisters remains in the forefront of our minds and that they are never forgotten.”
